Barista / Café Team Member

We are always welcoming energetic and customer-focused Café Team Members to join our team in New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, Surrey, and Burnaby.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and is passionate about coffee and café culture.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso-based beverages, teas, and other menu items according to Take Five Café standards.
• Welcome customers, take orders, and provide friendly and professional service.
• Operate the POS system and process payments accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, equipment, and workstations.
• Assist with food preparation and service while following food safety procedures.
• Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties.
• Support team members and contribute to a positive workplace environment.

Qualifications

• Previous barista or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable using a POS system and handling cash transactions.
• Food Safe Level 1 certification is an asset.
• Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is an asset.
